It Takes Two – Official “We’re Better Together” Trailer
ROLE: SENIOR MOTION DESIGNER AND VIDEO EDITOR
CLIENT: Hazelight, ELECTRONIC ARTS
PRODUCTION COMPANY: ELECTRONIC ARTS
This year started a little differently to most, as I was brought on board edit a trailer for the new title “It Takes Two” which is coming out in March. It has been made by Hazelight Studios who are the masters when it comes to co-op games and original story telling.
This was a lot of fun to work on! I’ve worked with many of the team members before but on very different franchises. We were tasked with sharing a little more of the story with our audience and why our main characters are trapped in this situation. This co-op only game is going to be a lot of fun and requires you to team up to solve puzzles and help one another. It feels a bit like “Honey, I shrunk the kids” meets “Toy Story”. I can’t wait to get my hands on it when it’s released and work my way through it with my partner.
They say you should never use a track you love in our line of work because you end up hating it, but this was not that case here! I got to work with one of my favourite tracks of all time in this trailer, and for us to be able to tweak the arrangement and do a slight remix of it was amazing! And… the fact Stevie Nicks has seen / heard it and said she liked it… Well, I’ll take that any day! Thanks to 2WEI for their work on the remix and Source Sound, Inc. for their amazing work on the audio pass. It’s alway’s a pleasure working with you guys! A huge shoutout to our capture team who constantly push to get us the best content every time and thanks to the the creative team for the collaboration on the script, this was a hell of a lot of fun to work on!
A huge congrats to Hazelight Studios and all the dev’s involved, your game looks amazing and we can’t wait to play it ourselves!
Shoutout’s to: Ricardo Reyes, Emiliano Rallo, Sam Goncalves, Jeff Aho, Chris Wilton, Jesus Delgado, Trevor Delahaye, Daniel Steinholtz, Eugen Derzapf, Marc Philipp Schmitz, Todd F. Stallkamp, Charles Deenen, Andrew Bock, Rashaad Wiggins and Aurélie Bondon! This wouldn’t have been possible without you and thanks again for all your hard work!
